Thanks John, That's the story I've been looking for for a long time. Fontains are a Liddel design as Fontain Specilized was run by Mitch at one time. At the auction Loadcraft bought the rights to the trailer. Right Hyster bought Martin, then Etnyre bought Hyster, also Mitch Liddel did not have a fab shop and Etnyre built them for him and used the design in their trailer. Cats were sold by our local (long gone) equipment dealer. Look at the bottom of the Martin brochure. Back then it was equipment dealers who sold Cats. I have a Hyster low bed registered as a '68 but I met an old timer who was a salesman for Cat who says he remembers selling that trailer new about '62. I can't seem yo find out what year that may have happened.
